Autumn Flower Granny Square Housewarming Blanket

Hoooo-boy the granny squares! There are 8 different crocheted granny square patterns that make up this Afghan size blanket. Created using 8 yarn colors from the Plymouth Yarn Company “Encore” line of wool & acrylic blend yarns. I made this blanket with a whole boat load of love for my niece and her fiancé as a housewarming gift. This blanket is 8 squares wide by 13 squares long, equaling 104 squares. Each square is approximately 6”x6”. Each square takes an average of 2 hours to complete including weaving in ends and blocking. All told, this blanket, including putting it together & edging, took about 230 hours.

Care Instructions:

Machine Wash on Cold, Gentle Cycle, lowest spin level possible. (for best results, loosely fold the blanket in thirds so the “underside” is covered by the edges of the “topside”—picture included in first carousel below)

Tumble Dry Low (for best results: lay flat to air-dry)
